Custom Software Development: common questions
When does custom software make more sense than an off-the-shelf product?
When your process is specific to your business (for example gram-based jewellery pricing or a unique approval flow), when per-user subscriptions get expensive, or when you need to work offline or own your data. For standard needs we'll recommend existing tools first.
Who owns the source code?
Ownership is agreed in writing before work starts. For most custom projects the client owns the source code and all data, and receives it at handover.
Can the software work without an internet connection?
Yes. We build offline-first desktop applications with local databases, such as our jewellery POS, and can add optional cloud backup or sync.
What technologies do you use?
Mostly PHP, MySQL and JavaScript for web systems, Python for data processing and automation, and SQLite-based desktop apps for offline use. We choose the stack that is simplest to maintain for your case.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance, fixes and feature development, and we document the system so another developer could take over if you ever need them to.
